The Epsilion War: A Living Campaign
The Epsilion War: A Living Campaign
Welcome to the Epsilion War: a living narrative campaign set during the tumultuous age of the Horus Heresy, using Legions Imperialis as its stage of battle.
This project will chronicle the fall, faith, and fury of an entire sector of Imperial space, the Epsilion Sector, as brother turns on brother, the light of the Emperor flickers in the shadow of rebellion.
Each battle fought in this campaign, whether a skirmish between armored cohorts, an assault on a planetary capital, or a desperate defense of a single supply line, will shape the history of the war. Victories and defeats alike will leave scars on the map, forge heroes, and damn traitors. The results of every engagement will directly influence the unfolding story, changing the fate of worlds, the loyalties of armies, and the very balance of power across the sector.
The Setting: The Epsilion Sector
The Epsilion Sector, once a beacon of Imperial order, has been thrown into turmoil.
When the Warmaster Horus declared his treachery, many of the sector’s Legion garrisons rose in rebellion, others stayed true to Terra. Now, entire systems burn as civil war spreads from one world to the next.
The campaign begins on Thallos Prime, an agri-world of golden plains and sacred harvests. When the tithe shipments ceased and the great Grainway fell silent, the Thallos Planetary Defence Force was dispatched to investigate. What they found in the shattered refineries and burning silos would mark the first blows of the Epsilion War.
The Game
The Epsilion War will be fought using Legions Imperialis, representing the vast armies and Titan Legions clashing for control of the sector.
Each battle fought will:
-
Expand the campaign map across multiple systems within Epsilion.
-
Develop named characters, from noble commanders to tragic heroes.
-
Chronicle the actions of both Loyalist and Traitor forces.
-
Influence future scenarios, alliances, and planetary outcomes.
A Living History
This isn’t a static campaign. It’s a living chronicle, an evolving record of war. Every engagement, every destroyed cohort, every fallen world will be written into the annals of the Epsilion War.
Reports, maps, and after-action briefings will be posted here as the story unfolds, forming a historical record of the conflict as if preserved by the scribes of the Adeptus Administratum themselves.
“The fields of Thallos burned first. The war began with hunger...”
